The Big Breastfeeding Cafe

Baby Medela Mums Motivation

Only this morning I was talking to a mum in the gym and we were discussing breastfeeding and she admitted the only reason she persevered with breastfeeding her firstborn was because of the support of another mum on the ward.

Breastfeeding isn’t easy and one of the biggest supports is other mums.  I know when I had my first daughter it was always nice to have a catch up with my friend, whose daughter was just two days older than mine.  We could happily sit there, have a cuppa and a good catch up whilst feeding in one of our houses.  No coffee shop dramas, no awkward juggling of trying to keep covered yet ensure the baby was latched on.

This year Medela are running the Big Breastfeeding Café which is a fab campaign to encourage mums to host a breastfeeding café in your own home.  And the best bit, is they’ll supply everything you need, including the tea and biccies!

Whilst I’ve moved to the dark side of formula feed, this is such a fab idea and want to share with other mums.  So get involved!

Love this idea! I think it can be stressful feeding in public so it’s great when you have support. #bigpinklink

What a brilliant idea! We are long past feeding now, (I do miss it), but I’ll have a look at the website and give them a share! Thanks for linking up! #bigpinklink
